Now that you have found your passion you are ready to move on to Step 2 of How2Blog.  I know finding your passion was hard, but the rest now will be easy.

Ok so now we have a passion now what do you do with it.  Well you want to create a blog around your passion.  But before you create a blog you need to get a domain name.  You know what those are you seem them all the time.  I know it sounds scary to get your own domain name but it isn’t hard to get one and believe it or not they are not that expensive.  So here we go with the question of the day.

What do I want my domain name to be?

Well you found you passion now you want to create a domain name around your passion.  So lets say your passion is dogs.  Well you could try for Dogs.com, but I am sure that is already taken.  Oh and by the way there are other extensions besides .com there is .net, .org, .info so don’t think you have to lock into a .com.  Yes .coms are popular, but they maybe a little more money. 

One of the best places to get a domain name is GoDaddy.com.  They are a legitimate company where you can purchase domain names.  What I like about GoDaddy is that you when you go on to there site and search for a domain name if the domain name is taken it will tell you that and it will give you suggestions around other domain names similar to what you are looking for that are available.  GoDaddy is really a great place to get the domain name for this reason.

So here you go click on the link to GoDaddy and search for a domain name.  Its free to search and domain names can cost you from less than $1 to $10 depending on type of domain names.  Sure there are premium domain names that  can cost you thousands of dollars, but you don’t need one of those.
